Over one million feral deer across Victoria are damaging forests, waterways, and farmland by ringbarking trees, eroding soils, and outcompeting native species. Without natural predators, populations grow up to 30% each year. Discovered Wildfoods humanely harvests wild deer to restore ecological balance while delivering exceptional venison.

Sambar deer is a large, hardy species with a high meat-to-bone ratio and consistent tenderness. High in protein, lower in fat than any other red meat, and rich in nutrients. The flavour is mild and nutty, reminiscent of prime beef with a distinctive depth that reflects Victoria's alpine grazing lands.
