We've always been incredibly proud of our extensive Game collection and now we're thrilled to introduce Wildpie. They create exceptional wild game pies, sausage rolls, and dim sims. Made with premium wild game, bold flavours, and honest ingredients, the entire range is seriously impressive. We were genuinely blown away when we tasted them, especially the dim sims.
Co-founded by Chef Jo Barrett, whose list of accolades is almost too long to fit here. Jo was recently named 2024 The Age Good Food Guide Chef of the Year, has led hatted restaurants at Oakridge Winery and her own, Little Picket, and represented Australia at the World Championship of Pastry, which explains why the pastry on these products is next level. She’s also the author of the cookbook, Sustain.
Wildpie's mission has always been about more than food. It was created to address one of Australia’s most urgent ecological challenges: the explosion of invasive wild game and the environmental damage they’re causing.
The numbers are staggering. Victoria alone is home to over a million wild deer, consuming enough water each day to hydrate 1.6 million people. Left unmanaged, these animals destroy delicate ecosystems, erode waterways, and outcompete native wildlife.
Here’s the good news: we can eat our way out of this problem. By turning these invasive species into premium, delicious products. Proof that delicious can also be impactful.
